Kalana Gamani Kodituwakku Hewamallika, born on April 7, 1970, embarked on his journey in the pharmaceutical sector by joining Interpharm in 1996, alongside his father. Over the years, he ascended to the role of Chairman/Managing Director, leading Interpharm to prominence as a leader in the industry. Kalana’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Business Economics from Brock University, Ontario, Canada. His upbringing in an entrepreneurial environment ignited his passion for business, instilling a desire to follow in his father’s footsteps. Under his leadership, Interpharm has flourished, pioneering advancements in pharmaceutical formulation and manufacturing technology in Sri Lanka.
